Walmart opened a new 197,000 square foot “store of the future” in the southern part of The Villages, located at State Road 44 and Morse Boulevard. This new Supercenter is the third Walmart in our commmunity. It joins a Walmart Supercenter in Buffalo Ridge, serving the northern area, and a Neighborhood Market and Fuel Center, serving the center region at Sarasota Plaza.
Walmart has different prototypes based on things like the size of the store and the community. This will be a unique design for a store of this size. It brings our "store of the future" design concept that will allow us to really cater to the community and provide products and services residents are telling us they want.
